I love watching my kids create. Sometimes I can't be bothered with the mess. Sometimes the mere thought of pulling out the craft box is all too much effort. But when we do....'tis fun! And it is my favourite way to curb Leigh's crazy. Yes, he goes crazy. Often. And it drives every one of us batty. 'Cos it can be downright annoying to have someone flapping their hands in your face saying "lalalalalalalala" at the top of their voice. So we do craft and the crazy subsides. For a little while.
My bestest tthing about doing craft with kids is the unknown. You never know where a couple of toilet rolls will take you....on this particular occasion, we went to the moon and back. With the help of a tissue box or two...we made rockets. And you know it is a good rocket, when it gets taken to kinder, marched up to the teacher, and held out...with the expectation that she will, of course, know exactly what is being held out before her and be blown away by the awesomeness of it. And send you home with enough supplies so you and your big brother can make 'people'....because what's a rocket without people to go inside??
