Sunday

You'd think with an extra adult at home, more would get done. Nope. We feel like we're living in a never-ending weekend and so we can get pretty slack. Lots of pyjama days happening around here in the last 8 months.
As a result Sunday ends up seeming much less Sunday-ish. Nothing Sunday about lazing around in your pj's till noon if you do it most other days. Then again, being Sunday means you don't need to feel guilty about having yet another lazy day.
So anyway, one day is much like the other around here....as was today.
I baked White Chocolate and Raspberry Scones, pottered, showered late, Evie and Daddy read books in bed, the nurse came to give Evie's chemo, the boys played/argued and watched more tv than I would like, Zack got ready for the party again. It was turning out to be pretty nice day.
The party was a great chance to have a decent chat to some kinder mums....rather than the rushed 'hi-bye' that happens at kinder drop offs and pick ups...thank you ladies for the good company!
Then I got a call from home.... "You have to come home now".....which was enough to make me panic, because Scott is a pretty calm person. Leigh had hit his head in the corner of our coffee table and there was a fair bit of blood. Thankfully, after the Ambos checked him over, it seemed he was fine....which he was sorely disappointed about....apparently he was all geared up for a trip to hospital with lights flashing and sirens blaring!
Evie slept through the whole ordeal, waking just in time to wave the ambulance good-bye....rather novel since she is usually the one riding in the back.

Now, about those scones....just in case you want to whip some up next Sunday....

You'll need...
3 cups SR flour
1 cup lemonade
1 cup cream
1 cup white chocolate, chopped
1 cup frozen raspberries, broken up(do so while frozen)

Sift flour, add chocolate and raspberries, combine.
Add cream and lemonade, mix gently but thoroughly to combine.
Tip dough onto floured bench and gently bring together....don't knead!
Place dough on oven tray and press to form a rough rectangle about 2cm thick.
Using a sharp, floured knife, cut the dough almost all the way through to make as many scones as you like, depending on how big or small you want them to be.
Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes on 200c.

Enjoy xxx.....warm with lashings of butter!
